Hi, I’m Ms. Sweets.
My earliest memory is standing on a stool at nine years old, watching my mother move through the kitchen like it was second nature. She cooked for all seven of us, day in and day out — no shortcuts, no complaints — just love in motion. That kitchen was her place of power, and unknowingly, it became mine too.
As I grew older, baking became my own kind of therapy — a quiet space to reflect, to heal, and to create. What started as comfort slowly turned into passion. I found joy in every cracked egg, every swirl of batter, every warm bite shared.
Heart to Soul Sweets is my offering to the world — a continuation of that legacy, and a reminder that the most memorable meals aren’t just about taste. They’re about presence, intention, and care.
My Approach
Rooted in Tradition, Made with Intention
At Heart to Soul Sweets, every dessert starts the same way: with time, care, and purpose. I don’t rush the process — I embrace it. From whisk to oven, each step is a ritual passed down from my mother’s kitchen, where food was more than nourishment — it was a way of showing love.
I bake with a deep respect for Southern traditions but always leave room for play, memory, and creativity. I use real ingredients — never shortcuts — and believe flavor should feel like a conversation: bold, warm, and lasting. Whether it’s a layered rum cake or a banana pudding made from scratch, I craft every recipe like it’s headed to a family table — because that’s where my food belongs.
This isn’t just baking. It’s storytelling. It’s honoring where I came from and sharing that joy, one slice at a time.
